Turn Off the Lights is a free browser extension developed by Stefan vd.
It provides focus to a video you are watching and makes everything around the video go dark. It works for all video sites such as YouTube, Vimeo,... and also on the social networking sites.
It is available as a plugin for Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, and Safari. There is also a Turn Off the Lights bookmarklet for other browsers.
